On Monday afternoon, I had a psychic reading – from a woman whose blogs and insights I appreciate. I rarely seek the advice of a psychic – mostly I get my own information intuitively, but she was offering a special deal, and I thought “what the heck – let’s get some input!”
I took some time the weekend before to tune in and decide what questions I wanted to ask. It was lovely to stop my busy days of do-ing, and feel into my life. I made some notes, and pondered the main “issues” I wanted help with.
During the reading, I was surprised that not much of what she shared resonated with me! Not the past lives, or the specifics about my health, or my work. I never felt an emotional or body response to her words. Mostly I felt “maybe.”
What did resonate was that “it is time for me to bring everything I am into the world.” I think that’s true for all of us.
What was true is the reading was a wonderful catalyst. The real gift of my psychic reading was that it motivated me to take time for me – both before and after the phone call. Time to sit and listen to my spirit, to my body, and to stop and take a look at my life. We don’t need a psychic reading to stop and be with ourselves, but sometimes that’s what it takes.
We are all intuitive. We really are. We are wired to be intuitive. Our bodies speak to us all the time. We get “signs from the Universe.” We may have a thought come out of nowhere that is important guidance. But we need to listen.
Training and feedback on your intuitive abilities certainly help, but most important is that you take time to be with yourself. Sit and feel and listen. Journal. Slow down. For some help in listening to your body, I have a good video here. And, of course, I love to work with my clients to help you get your own insights and answers.
I invite you to come in for a hands-on session in my Los Gatos office, or a phone or email session. Also, some of my clients are loving my weekly (or more often if needed) healing subscription. Let’s listen to your body and give it what it is asking for!
